Live in Korea

I made a trip to Korea (Seoul) to reunite with my long time music collaborator, drummer and producer Min for a series of concerts. I had some of my greatest experiences as a performer; we were sitting around a gas heater, some of the audience so close I could shake hands, when we performed “Wade in the water” they all joined in with the chorus.

The Tempest

I was involved in a two men production of Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest” with the actor Dan Milton. We had a series of performances at the actors centre. This is how I experienced the performances:

Alonso’s paper crown crumpled.
For the villains: silk scarves from TKMAX.
Ariel sings soulful tunes, they’re jerky, moody, new.
We are losing the thread – confusion, suspense, fighting over a skirt
Miranda with a beard.
Cover up, the blame game, exhaustion sweat, breaking tongue
People are late, phones going off, escape artists never make mistakes

They just play, play, play
